I’m so excited that I got to present at Comic-Con International! I got to share the beauty of the science with visitors at the Comic-Con Museum, had a chance to fly a plane over San Diego while taking flight lessons with Flex Air, and got to speak on a panel at the convention!
“The Science of Superpowers” panel was moderated by the amazing Melissa Miller and feature a diversity of biologists and engineers, including Ester J. Kwon (professor of nanoscale bioengineering), Catherine Schrankel (professor of cell biology), Michelle Nolasco (molecular biologist and science writer), Lataisia Jones (neuroscientist), Erika Anderson (reliability engineer), and me. If you missed the panel, you can check out the recording here.
The IF/THEN Pop-up STEAM Fair took place at the Comic-Con Museum, where visitors got toparticipate in science activities, discover unique career paths, and learn how to be a real-life superhero!
Huge shout out to the amazing and inspirational women in STEM who shared all of these amazing experiences with me, and an enormous thank you to Samantha Wynns and AAAS IF/THEN for making all of this possible!
