Words cannot describe the sheer amount of creativity highlighted in our session on ‘Science and Art – Bridging Two Creative Universes’ at the Cell Bio Meeting! I am truly inspired by every single speaker who shared their very creative and also very diverse approaches to combining science and art – from traditional drawing and data visualization to pottery, glasswork, and video games!
A huge thank you to our amazing speakers, my co-organizers Carsten Janke and Francesca Bartolini, as well as Kit Parker for hosting a fantastic evening at his art salon at Harvard’s Disease Biophysics Group, where we connected with fellow scientists/artists and discussed the impact of creativity on research, communication, and education!
